Every voice matters. Every story counts. At Ward Women Cell, we don't just hear you—we stand with you. Because safety is your right, support is your power, and together, we rise!

What We Stand For

A Commitment by Local Government to Dignity and Safety:

The Ward Women Cell is backed by the mayor, deputy mayor, and ward representatives, ensuring that survivor protection is a right—not a privilege. It is a structural response to violence, grounded in respect, action, and community accountability.

Empowerment Through Awareness and Representation:

Through community sessions, public hearings, and direct support, the Cell helps break the silence and stigma that often surrounds gender-based violence. It ensures that survivors are not blamed, doubted, or ignored—but believed, represented, and protected.

Access to Justice Through Local Action:

Survivors can access legal aid, psychological support, and formal complaint mechanisms within their own ward. The Ward Women Cell works closely with Kathmandu Metropolitan’s internal court to escalate unresolved cases—making justice accessible and community-based.

Safe and Inclusive Support for All Survivors:

The Ward Women Cell provides a non-judgmental space for women, girls, and gender minorities—including transgender individuals—to be heard, supported, and empowered. It recognizes all forms of violence, including subtle, silent, and systemic.
