‘A loud voice is needed to rise up from every situation. Information makes the voice loud. That is why we have joined the campaign.’ Kathmandu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol said, ‘Women in our city need the information they need to benefit themselves. Information must be provided to increase awareness of economic opportunities, to learn about public decision-making processes, and to increase access to public services. The program to be conducted for this will benefit not only women, but everyone.

The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness about women’s right to information. The goal is to ensure participation at the local level in planning, program development, and decision-making processes. This can make women’s leadership sustainable.

This campaign officially launched today (September 28, 2023) on the occasion of Universal Access to Information Day.
